The Hotel
La Maison du Bez has got a genuine history - It was built in the 17 th century and until 1920 was a working farm. When the farmer died the house was bought by a rich family from Marseille to serve as their summer home, when in 1930 it became the "Hotel La Maison du Bez" which was a hotel business run throughout the second world war and the German occupation. The hotel played a big part in village life and the ski resorts history as the lady running the hotel sponsored the first ski lift. The French organisation UCPA bought the house in 1954 and it became a popular destination for French youths for skiing and summer sports holidays until 2000/2001 when it reappeared under Swedish flag as Hotel La Maison du Bez again.
The hotel has been totally renovated and decorated in a rustic "Scandinavian influenced alpine style". Light rooms with simple interiors, dark wooden floors, white walls and comfortable beds. In the hotel bar you can enjoy a drink, brag about the days skiing or just enjoy the fire in our lounge. Sore muscles are best treated in the sauna or in the outdoor hot tub.
All of us working in the hotel are keen skiers and we know that to manage a day on the slopes you need good and nourishing food. At breakfast we serve a buffet with ham, cheese, porridge, cereals… At night our talented chefs will make each and every meal a culinary delight. If we're allowed to brag, our restaurant has acquired a good reputation in the valley.
The hotel has 20 rooms and can host 52 people. We propose half board: a breakfast buffet and a three course dinner.
