Summer Activitites
Serre Chevalier a playground for grownups as well as children
A week or only a few days - come and try new activities with the local mountainguides in the valley. The more the merrier. This summer we're trying to organize special theme weeks, but if the activities don't suite you we can always book what you want, à la carte.
Rambling
Enjoy nature, fresh air, sunshine and fantastic scenery, flowering meadows beautiful mountains. You can find 200 km of walking paths in the area. Enough for everybody to find their happiness. The Ecrin nationalpark holds 210 species of bird (440 known in Europe) and 1800 different plants.
Mountainbiking
Uphill or downhill… From the middle of june the skilifts turn into bikelifts; then it's only to head downhill! If you got more energy why don't you cycle back up again… Book a day to try it out or a weeks program if this is you passion. There are special moutain paths for mountainbikers. Come and enjoy!
Rock climbing
Interesting climbs, good, non crowded, granit and limstone rockfaces with hundreds of spitted lines on all levels fron 3 - 7, all over the Serre chevalier area. With or without instruction. Check out our climbing week end of July!
Canyoning
Follow a mountain river through a spectacular canyon. Slide, swim, jump, rappel, crawl through caves, cross waterfalls. The technique is simple but it does aquire a bit of courage!
White water…
Rafting, Air boat, Kayak or Hydro speeding - "La Guisane" that flows through the valley and nearby rivers will get your adrenaline running as rapid as the river.
Via Ferrata
The high iron road. Attached and secured to a wire climbing you'll reach a mountain summit. Sounds absolutely mad but is absolutely great and accessible to everybody, children as well as grownups who hasn't got problems with vertigo (75 - 500 meters of vertical drops).
Cycling
Serre Chevalier - Cyclists mecka with mountain passes known from the tour the France; Col de Montgenevre, Sestriere, Galibier, Izoard och Granon. If you'll climb them all you will get the five eagle certificate!
Mountaineering
A day of alpine mountaineering with one of the valleys best mountain guides you'll discover glaciers or climb a mountain. All equipment included. You do need warm clothes on 3600 m.
Angling
In rivers or mountain lakes the angling season starts end of june. We can help you to the best fishing itinerarys. Two weeks pass cost 36€ and you will need a car.
Tennis
There are lots of tennis courses around and if you want you can book a course with or without an instructor. Five days two hrs course cost 120€. Why don't mix with some other mountain activities?
Riding
Enjoy the mountain and the nature from the back of a horse or take riding lessons in the paddock. If your little ones want to go for a ride on a pony, you can rent a shetland for half an hour and go for a walk.
Golf
Play 9 holes in France and 9 holes in Italy, 30 minutes by car and you'll reach Montgenèvres golf course on 1860 m altitude. There is also a practice range with 25 practice spots.
